Dieckmanns joins the 1Ø Pills Mate roster with two squelchin', screechin' acid cuts backed with a pair of poles-apart remixes that segue from the crushed distortions of Seixlack to Yakovos' smooth, floating 808 house.
Originally released as a Bandcamp-only CDR through his label SubSubTropics, Dieckmann's showcases a blatant disregard for conventional production in favour of a fierce and brutal sound that combines high-resonance EQ meddling with crunchy, uncharacteristic samples.
Each track squashed into a hole in which it doesn't fit, constantly pressurised and straining down each crack and seem. A tour de force in collateral techno.
Countering the two originals are a particularly blown-out excursion from overdriven techno peer Seixlack, in which synths groan over bubbling, grumbling acid and trash-can drum work.
To finish us off, Yakovos takes the mood real deep and real low. A smooth yet driving journey through the photic zone and into interstellar, galactic bliss.
